2013 King of the Hammers Spot up for Auction this Weekend

Griffin King of the Hammers Qualifying Spot Donated to Auction
Griffin Radiator Offers Donation to Benefit Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame
October 5, 2012 – Pomona, CA:  Griffin Radiator , the title sponsor of King of The Hammers has graciously donated their 2013 Griffin King of the Hammers qualifying spot to a silent auction taking place on Saturday October 6th,  after the Off Road Motorsports Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Friday October 5th at the Pomona fairplex. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame.
This is the 2nd year that a spot has been auctioned off to benefit the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame. Last year’s auction was a success and the spot was won by BJ Allen who traveled from Texas to Johnson Valley last February to compete in the 2012 Griffin King of The Hammers.
Drivers have qualified for the 2013 Griffin King of The Hammers by competing in Ultra4 races throughout the 2012 season and as many as 60 drivers will take their chances by participating in the 4 Wheel Parts Last Chance Qualifier held in the days leading up to King of The Hammers in Johnson Valley .  This qualifying spot will allow one lucky driver to bypass qualifying for the King of the Hammers and gain automatic entry into the race. The auction winner will still be required to sign all waivers and pay all entry fees associated with the 2013 Griffin King of The Hammers race.
The silent auction is taking place in the Vineyard Ballroom at the Sheraton Fairplex in Pomona, CA starting on Saturday October 6th at 5PM and lasts for 4 hours. For those unable to attend the auction on site, an online auction has been established for the general public to bid on the Griffin King of the Hammers Qualifying spot.
