Camper Passes - This applies to ANY camping vehicle with living quarters, (ie; RV, Trailer, Cab-Over, Toter-Home) entering Johnson Valley during KOH Week. Each camping vehicle will require a camping pass, which is $20 in advance or at the gate.
You can purchase your Camper Passes HERE!
This pass is good for the duration of KOH and is required of ALL attendees of KOH (spectators, pit crew, teams, etc.) with a camping vehicle.
Camping is primitive and first-come, first served for spectators outside of Hammertown. Registered teams will still be assigned addresses in Hammertown.
This is a separate pass from the car/truck/pit bike parking passes required of teams that drive vehicles inside of Hammertown.
Looking for a rental RV or camper? Look no further than ShareMyCoach, the Official RV Partner of Ultra4 Racing!

Upgraded for 2020 is the streamlined WARN VIP Experience that now includes VIP viewing areas just for VIP Gold at specific high-profile areas of the racecourse, as well as food prepared by Drew Deckman, a 5-star Michelin chef.
The 2020 WARN VIP experience is now officially open for pre-sales.
There will be 100 VIP Gold level packages and 100 VIP Red packages available.
Once the packages are sold out, there will not be any more available. VIP Experience packages are sold on a first come first serve basis. Catering passes are sold separately, however finger food and Hors d'oeuvres will be served in the WARN VIP tent during operating hours.
All packages are good for the entire week. If there are motor sounds, the WARN VIP Experience is open (typically 7 am – 7 PM)

Spectating: Hammertown promises to be bigger and better than ever in 2020. There will be multiple live jumbotrons, vendors open during the day and plenty of food vendors. There are also port-a-potties in Hammertown.
Johnson Valley OHV area is open to everyone. The race course and within 150 feet of the race course is closed to the public on race days. The spectator areas are set up to give spectators a chance to see the race at a safe distance from the action. Many of these spectator areas are the same as in prior years where people have enjoyed watching the race.
OHV Vehicles: All trail rigs, bikes, quads, UTVs, etc. need some form of permit. Street-legal vehicles need proper plates and registration. California OHVs need a green sticker. Out-of-state motorized vehicles will need to get an out-of-state green sticker. These will be for sale at the information booth in Hammertown. They can also be purchased in advance online by clicking here: Passes are good for the calendar year so you will want to wait until after January 1st to purchase. We will also have these stickers available at the front gate.
PLEASE NOTE: ALL individuals in UTVs/Side by Sides are required to wear helmets per California law.
Where does my spectator fee go?
$190000 - blm permit (based upon estimated number of spectators)
$40000 - port a potties
$20000 - medical personnel (based on number of spectators)
$22000 - jumbotron for spectators who don’t have vehicles to go to canyons
$30000 - security
$10000 – dust control caused by number of vehicles in Johnson Valley
$20000 fencing for spectator safety
Camping: The cost to camp in Johnson Valley during KOH is $20 per Camping Vehicle (RV, Toter-home, Trailer, Cab-Over) It is dry camping, but there will be water trucks and dump trucks roaming the area that will service your vehicles for a fee. Most of Mean's Dry Lake Bed will be filled by Hammertown. The race teams, vendors, and Hammer King HQ will all be on Mean's Dry Lake. Johnson Valley is an open OHV area, so other than Hammer Town, campers are able to camp essentially wherever they would like to as long as it's not within 150' of the race course.

Online Registration for the 2020 King of the Hammers is Now Closed. On-site registration remains open at the main welcome gate on the Lakebed.
Additional mandatory costs for the 4400 KOH, EMC, UTV, LCQ, and T1 races include: Yellowbrick Trackers, USAC insurance, annual tech fees (only if purchasing single use USAC license, tech fee already included with annual license) [**Note, tech fees are an annual fee. They are required regardless of if your car is banded or not] , Camper Passes, and Pit Crew Passes for teams. Additional optional costs include additional Hammer Town Parking stickers.
Looking to register for King of the Motos? You can do so HERE!
USAC is a requirement for all drivers and co-drivers, regardless of country of origin. Please Obtain USAC BEFORE getting to the Lakebed, as it will not be available onsite!.
** Cell phone reception is not great on the Lakebed, so save yourself some time and frustration and get it before you head out. You will not be able to check in as a driver or co-driver without USAC.
It boils down to this: A driver needs a Driver license. A Co-Driver can have a driver or co-driver license...both carry same benefits. Competitors from other countries need USAC as well. The license is not just for insurance -- this is a requirement to participate as either a driver or a co-driver at King of the Hammers.
You can get your single-event or annual USAC license/insurance HERE!
