BFGOODRICH® TIRES HIGHLIGHTS 2013 CONTINGENCY AND DRIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM FOR THE GRIFFIN KING OF THE HAMMERS

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Jan. 17, 2013) –BFGoodrich® Tires today detailed its contingency and industry-leading pit support programs for the 2013 Griffin King of the Hammers, the ultimate competition that combines desert racing and rock crawling courses to put drivers and equipment to the test.
BFGoodrich Tires looks to continue its strong performance at the prestigious event, having captured four of the last five titles by providing strong on-site tire and pit assistance to its drivers. The 2013 Griffin King of the Hammers will be held in Johnson Valley, Calif.
“BFGoodrich Tires enjoys a strong position with King of the Hammers based on success and our support for the drivers,” said Peter Calhoun, BFGoodrich Motorsports Manager. “We are excited to get 2013 started and happy to bring tangible support to these competitors in one of the most grueling events of the year.”
As a part of its commitment, the company has launched its 2013 contingency program for competitors based on performance and their relationship with the brand.
To be eligible for the awards, drivers must run BFGoodrich Tires on all wheel positions of their race vehicle, display BFGoodrich branding in the form of a 24 inch decal visible on all sides of the truck and wear a patch on the upper chest of the drivers’ suit.
The awards include:
• 1st Place Overall (King of the Hammers) $7,500
• 1st Place EMC Stock Mod Class $1,000
• 1st Place EMC Stock Class $1,000
• Fastest Qualifier King of the Hammers $500
