Dan McMillin
Drivers Bio:
Self-proclaimed as the Greatest Fortnite player of all time, Dan began his racing career at the age of 14 in the 1/2 1600 class where he began to perfect his craft, learning the fundamentals and basics of apex turning, steering, cornering, going left and right, using the brakes, suspension tuning, biochemistry, the pythagorean theorem, math, science, and much much more. Being born into an off-road racing Family, Dan grew up watching his Dad, Mark McMillin and Grandfather Corky down in Mexico, spectating and chasing the Baja 500 and Baja 1000 for much of his childhood. It was during those years of Dan's life where he grew passionate about the sport of off-road racing and the majesty of Baja; the beautiful landscapes from coast to coast, the desert and beaches, the mountains and sand washes, to the rich culture and cuisine, and of course the great people of Baja. And now, at the fragile age of 32, Dan is the driver of the#17 McMillin Racing Mason Motorsports AWD Trophy Truck. But Dan is no stay at home racer. He and his navigator Josh Burrows are World Class trainers of German Shepards and Bottlenose Dolphins. Dan lives quietly and modestly in a 6 bedroom, 9 bath 7,500 square foot Spanish Villa on the cliffs of La Jolla, CA and can be often seen driving his red convertible Lamborghini with the top down to and from local poke shops and juice bars, in between Orange Theory workouts. In 2013, Dan was ranked in the Top 100 of Best Up and Coming Young Male Country Artists after his stellar performance on season 8 of the Emmy award winning show, NBC's "The Voice." But not long after, Dan left the primetime spotlight, hung up his cowboy hat, and turned 100% of his focus to Off-Road Racing. "It's a shame really," said current "The Voice" judge Adam Levine, "that guy had some serious talent. I almost brought him on the Maroon 5 tour as our opener. Our fans don't like country but he was edgy. That was cool."
Dan is supported by his Family, the entire McMillin Racing Team and his partners and sponsors; McMillin Racing, 4 Wheel Parts, Piston Petes Brewery & Distillery, BFGoodrich Tires, Method Racing Wheels, Fox Racing Shox, SDG Shocks, VP Fuels, CBR Performance, and Mason Motorsports/The Prep Boyz.
