January 4, 2012 (Lake Arrowhead, CA) – Hammerking Productions, owner and producer of the iconic King of the Hammers off-road race is pleased to announce the newest event in the weeklong series of extreme off-road competitions – King of the Motos.
After a groundswell of support from key motorcycle racing professionals, the 2012 edition will feature a demanding course combining high-speed Baja-style desert racing and extreme rock terrain that will rival Erzberg.  King of the Motos will host an invitation only field of twenty top riders from the enduro, desert racing and trials world.
“Keeping with the reputation of King of the Hammers, this will be the hardest moto course in the United States,” explained co-promoters Dave Cole and winning racer Jimmy Lewis.  “The field is invitational, but riders from several disciples have the opportunity to compete for the winner takes all $10,000 prize purse.”
The main event will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2012 on Means Dry Lake Bed in Johnson Valley, California.  The course will cover approximately sixty-five miles including ten miles of rocks.  There are no performance limitations on bikes and no pit support.
