Team Trail-Gear Already Moving Up at the 2011 Griffin King of the Hammers

After starting 55th at the 2010 Griffin King of the Hammers and finishing the race in 9th, Matt Messer and Team Trail-Gear are already moving up in rankings, securing the 44th starting position alongside Kris Fraser in the 22nd row.
While the buggy remains mostly unchanged, the valuable pit and race experience gained at the 2010 Ultra4 Stampede has helped Team Trail-Gear streamline their systems for this year’s race. A flat tire early on forced an on-course change at the Stampede but the #17 buggy finished 12th in a race that many drivers say rivals the trails within Means Dry Lake Bed.
While the format of the 2011 Griffin King of the Hammers has changed from one lap to two, Trail-Gear’s goal remains the same, to bring home the crown from the toughest off road race in the world.
